Hi there everyone. My name is… Well, I go by many names, but my close friends call me Hyper. So let’s go with that. I’m 30 years old, and married to the best woman I could ever meet. I love geocaching, hockey, photography and longboarding. Oh, and going to the occasional rock show if it piques my interest.
At a glance, I look like just your normal human male, trying to make it in the world. However, inside myself, I’ve got an internal battle going on. It’s been battling within me for a good 5 years now. You see, I’m FTM transgender with an autoimmune disease called Graves’ Disease. Which makes every day an internal battle, but I’ll get to that in a separate post. I mean, realistically, we’ve just met. Unless you found this because you do know me.
I made this blog because I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone else with both these predicaments. Heck, I didn’t even know anyone else in my life with Graves’ until about a month ago. So I wanted to share some of the things I’ve had to go through with this… Struggle. Plus, this will help me remember stuff, considering I’ve got some bad memory problems. I figure I’ll try to write here 2-3 times a week, and if anyone wants to ask questions, I’m an open book.
